The Hotel of the Future

CityHub is a new lifestyle hotel that is exploring the unchartered waters of the industry. We cater to the wishes and needs of a new generation of curious and savvy nomads by serving up the best of both worlds: travellers experience the comfort of a hotel combined with the feeling of community and the affordability of a hostel. But that’s not all. CityHub integrates a unique way of staying and state of the art technology with local superstars who connect travellers with the best the city has to offer. We have hotels in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Copenhagen and we are working behind the scenes to conquer Europe.

We are currently looking for a dedicated CityHost for our Amsterdam location to take care of the hotel and travellers during both weekdays and weekends. 

Our CityHosts take you by the hand and show you their city

Our CityHosts are the pride and joy of the community. Local heroes who have earned their reputation by knowing what’s what and they’re eager to share their secrets. They’re a diverse group of youngsters who can be found at the hotel and on the CityHub App 24/7. Want to know how to use your magic wristband or where you can find the best parties? You can ask them anything. They’ll cut through the usual static and dish out the tips and tricks that only true locals know and love.

You are the local hero 

As CityHost you are the local hero that enables travellers to get the most out of their stay in the City. You are not just available for travellers at the hotel, but, through our app, travellers will also be able to contact you while out in the city at all times. Interaction with travellers at CityHub is personal and spontaneous. The most important thing is to make travellers feel welcome and assist them with what they may need during their stay.

Besides socialising, you also take care of CityHub during your shift and ensure the activities continue according to plan. As all operations at CityHub go via the IT system, you will independently oversee if the place is kept in order and travellers are happy. You will be solely responsible for the atmosphere in our Hangout. You will also be available for answering reservation related questions and chat with travellers around the world via email, Facebook and WhatsApp. 

Your main tasks include: 

• Welcoming travellers and sharing your insider tips about the city

• Owning common areas, setting the mood and keeping them neat and tidy

• Answering emails and keeping in contact with travellers via all of our channels

• Some administrative tasks

• Having a chat with travellers for no reason
  

Are you?

• Naturally sociable, talkative and cheerful

• Enthusiastic and you like meeting new people from around the world

• In love with Amsterdam 

• Proficient in Dutch and English both written and spoken (any other language is a plus)

• Familiar with technology

• Organised, independent and an initiative taker

• HBO or University level thinking

• Available 16 hours a week, during both weekdays and weekends 

• Available from November 2026
