CityHost CPH

PART-TIME · COPENHAGEN

CityHub is a lifestyle brand that is exploring the unchartered waters of the hospitality industry.
We cater to the wishes and needs of this generation of curious and savvy nomads and make sure to always stay one step ahead. Serving up the best of both worlds: travellers experience the comfort of a hotel combined with the feeling of community and the affordability of a hostel. But that’s not all. CityHub integrates state-of-the-art technology and free WiFi-to-go with local superstars who connect travellers with the best the city has to offer. We open doors that have always been closed. We have hotels in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, Copenhagen is opening next summer, and we are working behind the scenes to conquer Europe.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team of CityHosts for our Copenhagen location with 215 Hubs in Vesterbro.

You are the local hero

As CityHost you are the local hero that enables travellers to get the most out of their stay in the City. You are not just available for travellers at the hotel, but, through our app, travelers will also be able to contact you while out in the city at all times. Interaction with travellers at CityHub is personal and spontaneous. Your main mission is to make travellers feel welcome and assist them with what they may need during their stay. Besides socializing, you also ensure the daily activities at CityHub continue according to plan. This means for example that you reply to emails, make sure the common areas (bar, hangout, front desk etc.) are neat and tidy and that you troubleshoot in case something is out of order.

As a CityHost you will work in shifts. When applying please let us know what your preference is regarding working hours.

  • Morning Bird: 07:00-15:00
  • Evening Star: 15:00-23:00
  • Night Owl: 23:00-07:00

Main tasks include:

  • Welcoming travellers and sharing your insider tips about the city.
  • Owning common areas, setting the mood and keeping them neat and tidy.
  • Answering emails and keeping in contact with travellers via all of our channels.
  • Some administrative tasks.
  • Having a chat with travellers for no reason.

You are:

  • Naturally sociable, extroverted and approachable.
  • You like connecting with people from all around the world.
  • You know the city like the back of your hand, and you can’t wait to share your favourite spots.
  • Spotless English and Danish (the more extra languages, the better).
  • You don’t shy off in front of a computer.
  • Confident, organized and independent.
  • A flexible team player.
  • University level thinking
  • Available part-time 8 to 32 hours/week

How’s working with us?

We said we are growing, we know, but we are still very young at heart and our start-up mindset will never abandon us. At CityHub the borders between departments are blurred, everybody is independent, but nobody works on their own island, we are involved to some extent in many things and everybody has opinions on stuff.
If you join us, you’ll get all the basics: a fair salary, a flexible schedule that combines well with studying, regular trainings and discounted rates for your friends and family. Next to that you’ll have nice colleagues, an informal and fun working environment where your voice will always be heard. You will be invited to goodbye drinks and housewarming pancake nights, to team activities and highly competitive petanque games.
We offer you a flexible and fun position where you have the independence to fulfill your potential and the support to grow with us.

Unfortunately we don't speak Danish :-) We're a Dutch company with an international team. Please note that motivational letters and/or resumes that aren't in English can't be considered by our hiring team.
